kso, after i downloaded the new patch and log in and stuff, i get to the character select screen and click my char, and while its loading maple closes and it tells me connection to the server has ended
i rebooted my computer and still same thing ._.'

Wow. that's flaky... but i wouldnt put it past them to screw something up my only advice would be to keep trying if it hasnt worked yet...
I'm sure there's a bagilllion kids trying to get on right now.

I fixeded it, something to do with hosts file in system32 folder. Thanks anyway  |

Start > My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > WINDOWS > System32 > Drivers > etc
In this folder is a file called hosts, right click it and at properties un-tick Read-only, if its already un-ticked then yay. When its un-ticked exit properties and go back to the hosts file, open it in notepad and look for anything with MapleGlobal.Gameguard.net or something related to maple in it, delete everything related with maple, all of it but nothing else. Once thats done save the edited file and then try to open maple again, it should work now.

it happened on my other computer too after the patch o-o
and it doesnt have to do with hacking, i think its because gameguard got stuck or the location it was connection to was broke or something, so i resetteded it
