Well.. my IRL friends aren't doing so well in Geometry and I'm doing better than them but that good. :x I sorta need help and most of you guys have good grades and stuffs soo.. anyone wanna tutor me in Geometry? It's mainly stuff with congruence, similiarity [SAS, SSS, AA, HL, etc.] and the equations that use the buttons sin, cos, and tan. And special right triangles. And you don't need to actually tutor, just explain to me clearer than my teacher does. :x I really really really do NOT want to retake Geometry. Help me get into Alg. 2 plz. D: And feel free to post some helpful stuff and tips. I'm open to anything to boost my B-/C+

Mehs. I sorta get the stuff but when it comes to tests, I basically fail. :x
I do good on HW and stuff 'cause I ask the teacher a lot of questions and stuff because I know I suck at tests but when it comes to the actual test, I fail even though I try hella hard.
I just want to have a B in this class and I can stop stressin' :S

Kay. With SAS, that means that like... two triangles have two sides of the same length, that are joined by an angle, that is the same on both triangles. AS SEEN HERE: Then there's SSS, which is just all three sides of the two triangles are congruent. Now, AA is just two corresponding angles are the same degree. Such as: AAS = Two angles are the same degree, and a side, connecting the two angles. Like, adjacent to the angles are the same on both triangles. There is no such thing as ASS. ;D Which makes me giggle. And all of those, the AA, AAS, SAS, SSS, are all to proove that two triangles are similar. Sin, Cos, and Tan... I'd need to refresh on those. I know they're pretty easy, if only I could remember the tips my teacher gave me... SACOTOA? Something like that. A little acronym? I think that's the word. That stands for what things you use for the little equations. Now if you're talking about buttons as in calculators. I don't know, I never used mine for that. AAAAAAAND www.mathwords.com/index_geometry.htmGo there. It should be a good help. I hope I could help you! <3 I liked Geometry.. :B

Go to that site, and click on the HL Similarity one.
That site is actually really nice. o=

Lmfao, you're not the only one who's noticed. Will - that's what the new chat feature Josh added in for. ;D For those who wanna chat, you go in there or just IM the person you direct your post at. And thanks meelon - I'm going to add that site for to my favorites and adding some of the stuff to my notes. ;D And yeah, I think it's Soh Cah Toa. I wrote it on the back of my calculator to help me on tests. xD Teacher? Tips? Plzplzplz, my teacher follows by the book and makes us do every problem in the book. :s I need tips or shortcuts to remember these things. >(

Sin, Cos, Tan ratios: They only work on right triangles. Acronym was (as we learned it; I dunno about you crazy Americans ;P) SOH CAH TOA. Sin(Theta) = Opposite side / Hypotenuse. Cos(Theta) = Adjacent side / Hypotenuse. Tan(Theta) = Opposite side / Adjacent side. Theta's the angle; opposite is the side directly across from the angle. Adjacent is the side next to the angle that's not the hypotenuse, and hypotenuse is the longest side.
I dunno how to make the theta symbol on a keyboard, so, yeah. / to indicate division.
To find the angle (theta), you would use the inverse sin/cos/tan with their respective sides.
I don't remember anything about the special case triangles. D: Hope that helps =)

SohCahToa. The magic triangle method. =o
I always tried to simplify maths so I'd remember it all. Quadractic equations became smiley faces, liner equations became pop and ping.
I wish I could help but I avoid any form of mathematics as is reasonable.
