I've talked to several members of the guild and we all agreed the guild is going downhill.

We have more ex-hackers and hackers in the guild than ever before and it's not changing.

And Asuna, I'd fight with you but I don't really give a rat's ass what you think of me or what you could do.

Anddd. Jason had to go. Soliloque, and they don't? Just because they don't use their hacks to help you and your GPQ doesn't mean that he had to go. You'd probably let him in since you have so many hackers running about your guild now, but before, you wouldn't allow any hacking run around in your guild.

Would you expell people who didn't matter and don't belong in Pirates and/or [ex-]hackers if it meant you couldn't GPQ anymore?

I agree. I joined on my perma-beginner. Just as Slyvarant said -- it's not the same old Pirates. Las tyear when I was in it, it was great. I re-joined recently for a little while. I only recognized about three or four people. As much as I miss the Pirates, it's not the same. Today's Pirates is a new generation -- and I'm just not part of it. I still have my attatchments to the guild, I love it dearly, but I cannot be in it. It's not the same.

Better to keep that old Pirates guild memories in my mind.

Maybe a little part of the reason it changed is "Mey left", but I don't think so. It's a whole combination of things...

Let's say...
10% of the old Pirates left with Amanda.
More 10% with Char.
More 10% with Cor.
More 20% with David and Beth, etc.
Guess all of us, the "rebel kids", took a part of Pirates. But you, people still there, should put your pieces of the old Pirates together...
